We weren't shy with the use of the color black for this modern-take on a Norwegic inspired home. Pairing warm brick and wood plank exterior elements and coating them in black to produce the perfect background for the lush mix of tropical plants that surround the property and also go vertical up the ascending trellis on the right side all the way to the roof line. Inside complementary black accents found in the ceiling, stairwell, cabinetry, and plumbing and lighting fixtures give way to showcase the lush outdoor landscape visible through a glass storefront dining area and long rectangular collection of windows. The accent tile throughout the home sticks with the linear theme presented inside and out but also offers its guests a soothing escape with its dark teal color that pairs beautifully with the dark-bottomed pool out back. This home is the essence of nature paired with structure in the most balanced of context.
